This statement applies to the processing of personal data by Different Hotels NV and the hotel entities under its management.

This statement does not apply to third parties, such as external booking platforms or websites referred to.

Different Hotels NV is the controller responsible for processing your personal data.

2. What data do we process?

We collect various categories of data in order to provide our services:

  • Reservations & Stay: Name, address, email, phone number, dates of stay, and secure payment details.

  • Legal Registration: Information required by immigration or police legislation.

  • Website usage: IP address, browser and device characteristics, and browsing behavior via cookies.

  • Communication: All correspondence via email, questions, or complaints.

3. Purposes and Legal Grounds

We process personal data exclusively for specific purposes and on the basis of a valid legal basis:

  • Implementation of reservation 6(1)(b) – implementation of agreement
  • Legal registration obligations 6(1)(c) – legal obligation
  • Invoicing and administration 6(1)(c)

  • Marketing (if applicable) 6(1)(a) – consent

We do not process personal data for purposes other than those described above.

4. Security of your data

Different Hotels NV takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against:

  • modification or destruction

These measures include, among other things:

  • collaboration with specialized IT and security partners
  • logging and monitoring

  • Reservation system administrators

  • External booking platforms (such as Booking.com, Expedia, etc.)

We enter into a processing agreement with processors in accordance with the GDPR.

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

6. Retention period

We do not retain your data longer than is strictly necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, taking into account:

  • Fiscal retention obligation (minimum 7 years)
  • Legal registration requirements
  • Limitation periods regarding potential liability

Marketing data will be retained until consent is withdrawn.

After the retention period has expired, data will be deleted or anonymized.

7. Transfer outside the European Economic Area (EEA)

If personal data is transferred outside the EEA, this will only happen if there is an adequate level of protection in accordance with the GDPR, for example through standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
